Even if you show several people who are not color-blind to the same color palette, they can interpret them all differently. People who are color blind are often treated with a lot of laughter, but how do people who think that they see colors correctly are indeed sure that this is indeed the case. Color is basically a physical fact, but is put under pressure by biological influences, so that color is experienced differently by different people. When I applied the icc profile it created the image barely changed, the reds are ever so slightly desaturated but that's it. After Displa圜AL completes, it reports this monitor has 99.8% sRGB, 89% DPI-P3 and 81% Adobe-RGB coverage. what preset should I use? -what brightness (cd/m) should I aim for? (people say 120 cd/m, but kinda looks dim) -what tone curve to target? -what gamma to set? -what else should I adjust? etcīefore writing this, I already made a few calibrations using the default setting in Displa圜AL with the monitor's factory default, and yes it asked me to manually calibrate via monitor's OSD beforehand. In Displa圜AL there are presets such as Default, Web, Video, etc. I mainly do serious 3D work at night, no lights in room. ![]() Recently bought the LG 27UL600-W monitor with a Colormunki Smile calibration device. I do not want to see other people's artwork to look bright and saturated when it is not meant to be) I always prefer to look at what the original author intended (i.e. I do 2D/3D art as a hobby, watch videos on YouTube & Netflix and play single-player games at times. I use Displa圜AL to calibrate my monitors, I need some clarification on what settings is best for my use case.
